住吉大社に国指定重要抜け伊民族文化財・・「住吉大社の御田植」がある
住吉大社の「御田植神事」は、「御田」（おんだ）とも呼ばれ、毎年６月14日に執り行われる
社伝によれば、神功皇后さまが、五穀豊穣を祈るために、長門国から植女（うえめ）を召して御田を定められたに始まると伝えられています。
現在は、前儀の粉黛式・載盃式に始まり、本殿に於ける豊作を祈る祭典に続き御田式場では、田舞、神田代舞、風流武者行事、棒打合戦、田植踊、住吉踊の伝統芸能が奉納される間に替植女により早苗がうえられます。そして十月一七日の「宝之市神事」に初穂を神殿に供えます。
